UF Health in Gainesville, FL seeks a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to provide inpatient and outpatient pediatric care. In this role, you will conduct psychosocial assessments, deliver individual and family therapy, and develop treatment and discharge plans that support safe, effective transitions of care. You will collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals, offer crisis intervention and resource linkage to families, and maintain accurate EMR documentation. Provide psychosocial assessments and therapy for pediatric inpatients and outpatients
Develop and implement individualized treatment and discharge plans
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care
Support families with crisis intervention, counseling, and resource referrals
Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the EMR accurately and timely
Advocate for patients’ psychosocial needs within the healthcare system
Participate in case conferences, rounds, and care coordination meetings
Educate patients and families on coping strategies and community resources
Ensure compliance with ethical, legal, and regulatory standards
Contribute to quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives
Clinical psychosocial assessment
Pediatric behavioral health counseling
Evidence-based psychotherapy (e.g., CBT, family therapy)
Crisis intervention and de-escalation
Care coordination and discharge planning
Electronic medical record (EMR) documentation
Knowledge of child welfare and healthcare regulations
