Company History
UltaCare Medical has a rich history rooted in the dedication and passion of our founder, a geriatrician, who was approached by a struggling nursing home in East TN in 2006. The facility had incurred significant tags and fines from the state for a number of issues and needed help to improve healthcare for their residents. Our founder conducted an in-depth analysis and recommended embedding certain providers into the facility to improve care. The nursing home was so impressed with his work that they asked him to implement the changes he recommended. After several years, the nursing home went from being a struggling 1-star facility, barely able to stay open, to a thriving 5-star facility at 100% occupancy. Our founder's work was recognized when he was awarded the prestigious AMDA National Medical Director of the Year.
This experience inspired the development of UltaCare Medical's patient-focused model, which has evolved and improved over the intervening 17 years. Today, our team of compassionate and expert providers offer a range of services, including primary care, mental health care, wound care, and more, with a mission to elevate the standard of care for seniors in long-term care and skilled nursing facilities. We're committed to removing unnecessary administrative burdens and empowering our providers to deliver the best care possible. Our model has proved to be successful in improving the health and quality of life of our patients, and we continue to grow and expand to new locations across TN, KY, TX, KS, IA, NE, and IL.
Benefits
Flexible schedule - typically no mandated start and stop times, only agreed upon number of ours (ie. if you are full-time you work 40 hours each week)
