Company History
Meridian, a private, non-profit organization, has its roots in the community mental health movement that began in the 1960’s to bring education about mental illnesses and substance use disorders and treatment for those affected to the local level. Created as a tax-exempt entity in 1972, Meridian has been a part of the lives of thousands as we provide a safety net for those in crisis, a source of effective treatment, and a contributor to the health of the entire community.

Our services are accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). Meridian has been accredited by CARF (The Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) for the following programs and services: Assessment & Referral, Case Management, Community Housing & Integration, Crisis Intervention, Crisis Stabilization, Day Treatment & Detoxification, Out of Home Treatment and Outpatient Treatment. Meridian meets rigorous CARF guidelines for service and quality – a qualified endorsement that Meridian conforms to nationally and internationally recognized service standards and is focused on delivering the most favorable results for our patients. A CARF accredited organization shows commitment to continually improving its services.
