Company Overview
Jewish Family Service of San Diego (JFSSD) was
founded in 1918 to help the most vulnerable in
the community. Over eighty years later, our
mission remains the same: to strengthen
individual and family life, and to ensure every
individual is living life to its fullest
potential. Our services are offered to everyone
regardless of religion, race, creed, ethnicity or
national origin. JFSSD is an agency that is
responsive to the needs of the faith based and
secular community. Through its eight locations
in San Diego County a wide range of programs are
offered. These include individual, family, and
group counseling; senior services; child abuse
prevention; extensive parenting programs,
domestic violence prevention, crisis intervention
and food pantry, psychiatric case management;
home delivered meals to seniors and adults with
disabilities; refugee resettlement; and school
based services and a large volunteer program.
Jewish Family Service of San Diego consists of
over 130 staff members, 8 sites and an annual
operating budget of approximately 4.5 million
dollars. It is the only accredited social
service agency in San Diego County.
