Description:
This position is scheduled in the emergency department.
The schedule includes working every third weekend.
This role requires a Michigan license.
The preferred years of experience are 2-3 years, but 1-2 years will be considered.
First-time candidates are accepted.
The clinician may float within their scope to meet facility needs.
Although primarily working in the emergency department, there may be occasions to receive calls from inpatient floors.
However, the social worker will not be pulled to work full shifts on other units.
Weekend work is every third weekend.
Local candidates are accepted without a specific radius rule.
Pending state licenses are not accepted.
Guaranteed hours are 36 for three 12-hour shifts and 48 for four 12-hour shifts.
Patient age groups include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
The facility is an acute care hospital.
The hospital has teaching capabilities and is classified as an adult level II trauma center.
The documentation system used is Epic.
The flu vaccine is required, with medical or religious exemptions only.
Skills required for this role include knowledge of adult protective services, case management, and discharge planning.
Candidates should be able to perform bio-psychosocial assessments and provide patient and family education.
Experience in emergency department settings is preferred.
Working with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure continuity of care is essential.
